The Prize Ethics and Trust in Finance for a Sustainable Future<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 formerly \u201cEthics in Finance \u2013 Robin Cosgrove Prize\u201d \u2013 promotes new ways of thinking about the big challenges facing the global economy<\/span>. As a worldwide program running since 2006, we work with inspiring minds and behaviours from across the financial and academic ecosystems to conceive of new models and shape better practices that strengthen the foundations upon which we build our world.<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s global society, where millions unable to access the financial services need to flourish, a more transparent, more accessible and inclusive model is required and is possible. Meanwhile, growing imperatives are driving new approaches to design more sustainable systems of provision of financial services and to limit our impact on the planet.<\/p>\n

The Ethics and Trust in Finance<\/em> Prize asks people under the age of 35 working in or studying finance to reimagine how financial institutions, together with their stakeholders, can balance the desire for growth, security and stability<\/span> with these aspirations, to provide a meaningful response to the changing needs of the communities in which they operate.<\/p>\n

We believe that the subjects of ethics and trust in finance have a pivotal role to play in affecting a positive change in the world. Each year we look forward to exploring bright new ideas from a diverse group of brilliant people.<\/p>\n

8th Edition (2020\/2021)<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 8th edition (2020-2021) will be officially launched on 28 May 2020. <\/b>Due to the ongoing epidemic, the launch event will be online<\/strong> and include a presentation of the Prize and two roundtables discussions. More information<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

CFA, Euroclear, Pictet Group Charitable Foundation, Swift\/Swift Institute and ACCA are actively supporting the Prize and promote it to their members, teir staff and to the wider financial services audience and corresponding academic institutions. Many other financial organizations across the world are promoting awareness of the Prize to their stakeholders and their younger staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to participate<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The competition invites young professionals and academics under 35 years of age to submit unpublished papers<\/span>:<\/p>\n

\u2022 maximum of 5000 words;
\n\u2022 analytical or practical topics;
\n\u2022 rigorous argumentation;
\n\u2022 innovative approach;
\n\u2022 clear conclusions.<\/p>\n

The deadline for handling in the final paper for the 8th edition is set to 31 of May 2021<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

An international jury, comprising of prominent experts in finance and ethics, will designate in autumn 2021 one or more prize winners and allocate the sum of USD 20,000 between them.<\/p>\n

Papers may be submitted in English for the global edition, in Franch for the Francophone Chapter, in German for the German-language chapter and in Polish for the Polish chapter.<\/p>\n

Previous Editions<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Prize has won recognition from the International Monetary Fund [IMF]<\/span>, which co-hosted the award ceremony for the\u00a05th edition (2014\/2015)<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of the global Ethics in Finance Prize. The Ceremony took place at the IMF headquarters in Washington, USA, at a special event on the 21st September 2015. Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund congratulated the Prize laureates. In January 2018, the award ceremony of the\u00a06th edition (2016\/2017)<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0was hosted by the Banque de France<\/span> at its headquatrters in Paris. The Governor of Banque de France, Mr. Fran\u00e7ois ViIlleroy de Galhau and Mr. Angel Gurria, the Secretary-General of OECD, gave keynote addresses and congratulated the winners.<\/p>\n

In 2019, the Award Ceremony of the 7th<\/sup> edition<\/strong> (2018\/2019)<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>of the Global Prize \u201cEthics & Trust in Finance<\/em>\u201d took place, at the OECD headquarters in Paris<\/span>. The Secretary General of the OECD, M. Angel Gurr\u00eda,\u00a0 congratulated the Prize winners for \u201ctheir ground-breaking work, their efforts in promoting ethics, responsibility and trust in the world of finance\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
